Despite a slow start, Kim Mulkey's lady bears defeated Central Arkansas Tuesday night in the Ferrell Center.

The Lady Bears only went up 18-15 after the first quarter thanks largely to superior guard play from the Sugar Bears junior Kamry Orr.

Baylor's veteran frontcourt of Lauren Cox and Kalani Brown were just too much for UCA to handle. The pair combined for 40 of Baylor's 86 points.

All of Mulkey's starters scored in double figures for the second time this season (Nov 11 Lamar).

A big part of Baylor's comeback was the defense. The Green and Gold held UCS to under 50 percent shooting from the floor. In Baylor's last 405 games, only 3 teams have shot more than 50 percent (Texas, Stanford, and West Virginia).

The Lady Bears will fly to the west coast for their next game against UCLA. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. Nov 18.
