The Bryan Police Department said two people died after a major crash on Friday morning.

Officers responded to the 2700 block of West State Highway 21 around 6:45 a.m. where a 2002 Ford pickup was stopped in the driveway of a truck stop waiting to enter traffic on Hwy 21.

A black Chevrolet pickup was traveling west on HWY 21.

The Chevrolet left the roadway and struck the driver’s side of the Ford.

The impact caused the Ford to roll over, and come to a rest on its top.

The Chevrolet came to a rest on its side. Two male occupants of the Ford were found dead at the scene.

The victims were identified as 39-year-old Juan Vanegas of Bryan and 79-year-old Refugio Vanegas of Bryan as well.

The two occupants of the Chevrolet received minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
