A man was arrested on Tuesday morning for stealing a computer from a Temple store in early July.

On July 6, Temple police officers spoke with several employees of the store after a report of a robbery.

One employee said he witnessed two men enter the store who appeared to be working together to distract a sales clerk. While one man distracted the clerk, the other took a computer from the shelf, removed the security tag and put the computer in a bag.

As both men exited the store, without paying for the computer, the employee said he attempted to stop them. At this time, the man who took the computer threatened to stab the employee.

Officers reviewed store surveillance video of the incident and identified the man who took the computer as Robert Maldonado Reyes Jr. The employee confirmed to officers that Reyes was the man who threatened to stab him.

Reyes was arrested and charged with robbery.
