Killeen ISD said they fired an instructional aide after she took pictures of students in a restroom at Timber Ridge Elementary School. The teacher said she took the photos to document misbehavior.
Officials said the incident was first reported Friday. After an investigation, the aide was fired the morning before she could return to the elementary school.
The aide told officials that she stepped into the restroom and took the photos to prove the student was not following instructions. The district said all children were fully clothed when the pictures were taken.
The district added that regardless the reason, taking photographs in a student restroom with children in the room is highly inappropriate and not the type of action the district will tolerate.
