Temple police are investigating after a clerk was tied up and robbed at gunpoint on Monday night.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. at Mungis Convenience store on S. Martin Luther King Dr.

The clerk told officers two men armed with handguns wearing masks and gloves entered the store and demanded money. One of the suspects went behind the register and tied the clerk's hands together with a cord.

Police said the suspects stole a few cartons of Newport Cigarettes, the clerk's cell phone and three to five hundred dollars in cash. They are unsure if the suspects fled on foot or in a car.
