WACO, TX (KXXV) -

Someone hit an 82-year-old man in the head and robbed him of his game room prize money, Waco police said.

Officers went out to the man's home early Saturday morning after he said someone robbed him.

The man told police he won $2,900 at a game room Friday night. He said he was on his way back home when someone came from behind and hit him in the head, police said.

The robber got away with the man's money, police said. The man told police he doesn't know whom the suspect may be.

Doctors treated the man's injuries at a local hospital.

Police didn't immediately identify the game room where the victim claims he won the money.

Call the Waco Police Department at 254-750-7500 if you have any information.
