Baylor soccer (10-3-2, 4-2-1 Big 12) fought off a second half rally, taking a 1-0 win over the Kansas Jayhawks (7-7-2, 2-3-1 Big 12) on Sunday afternoon at Rock Chalk Park.

After controlling the pace and holding an 8-4 edge in shots and 6-1 lead in corners in the first half, the Bears faced a steady attack from the Jayhawks in the second period, with KU holding even on shots (7-7) and leading in corners (6-3).

The Bears finally connected late in the second, led by a push into the penalty box. Raegan Padgett chipped a pass over to Aline De Lima, who fought through a collision with KU goalkeeper Maddie Dobyns to tap in the gamewinner for BU.

BU goalkeeper Jennifer Wandt finished with her eighth clean sheet of the season, with the Baylor defense keeping KU from taking a shot on goal in the entirety of the match.
