A victim suffered non-incapacitating injuries after a car hit them multiple times before fleeing.

College Station police said that at 9 a.m. Thursday, an accident was reported near Texas Ave. and Valley View Drive. Police were told it involved a car and a pedestrian.

Police said that the victim was walking in the area when a person they knew attempted to hit them with a car. The first time, the victim was hit. The car then turned around and hit him again before driving away.

The victim was treated by College Station Fire Department and released. Police say that due to the victim's fear of imminent bodily injury, the vehicle is considered a deadly weapon and the suspect will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police said that a prior incident happened between the two individuals and there is no danger to the public.

A suspect has been identified but no name was released.

Anyone with information is asked to call College Station police at 979-764-3600.
