A woman has been indicted after she attempted to evade officers and drove into a construction area in Temple in early August.

The arrest affidavit said that a police officer on patrol observed a vehicle driving by with the passenger door open, and a man was hanging out of the vehicle.

The officer said the vehicle was also speeding, so he attempted to pull the vehicle over.

The affidavit said that vehicle would not stop and ran a red light at the intersection of West Adams and N. 31st St. The vehicle drove through a construction road project and became trapped between concrete construction barriers - forcing the workers to move to safety.

Police said that the suspect was arrested and appeared to be intoxicated. They also said she smelled like PCP.
