A Bryan man was arrested overnight after he attempted to steal a refrigerator from a semi-trailer at Lowes, police said.
A College Station officer responded to 4451 SH 6 and saw a 43-year-old Larry Bailey with a pickup truck and a u-haul backed up to the back of a boxed semi-trailer. The u-haul had a large refrigerator loaded onto it.
Bailey told the officer he was there to drop off appliances and had permission to do so, but the officer did not believe him.
The officer spoke to a store manager and video footage revealed Bailey entering the trailer and placing the appliance onto the u-haul trailer.
The manager said no one had permission to enter the semi-trailer and remove appliances. Bailey later admitted to attempting to steal the appliances.
Bailey was arrested and charged with burglary of a vehicle.
