Two people have been charged after meth, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in their car during a stolen item recovery at a Walmart in Hewitt.

On Aug. 7, a Walmart loss prevention employee approached a man she suspected of stealing from the store. He then gave the woman a can of body spray.

Police said the employee followed the man to his car that had two other people inside and asked again for any stolen items. The man returned an unknown item from a woman inside the car.

At this time, a detective who was on-site following up on another incident called officers to search the man’s car.

Officers found several items, believed to have been stolen from Walmart, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and prescription drugs that did not belong to any of the three inside the car, police said.

Megan Christian, 37, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug and Daniel Christian, 39, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The third person in the car was cited and released for theft of under $100.
