Construction has started on the Santa Fe Business Center in downtown Temple.
The 34,000-square-foot center is a $9 million capital investment project. It's a part of a $30 million redevelopment plan for the Santa Fe Plaza.
The project is a partnership between the Temple Economic Development Corporation and the Temple Chamber of Commerce. Workforce Solutions of Central Texas will move into the facility as a tenant.
“The redevelopment of the Santa Fe Plaza, with two new office buildings and almost 300 jobs staying downtown and on the Plaza, will have a transformative, game-changing impact on not just downtown Temple, but Temple as a whole.” said Temple EDC Board of Directors Chairman David Nix.
