A man is dead after his car crashed into a tree in Cameron.
Sgt. D.L. Wilson said on July 29 at around 11:30 p.m., a 2014 GMC Acadia was traveling south on US 77 and for some unknown reason drove off the road to the east and struck a tree.
The crash was three miles south of Cameron.
The driver has been identified as 67-year-old Michael Lee Miller of Cameron. He died at the scene.
The passenger 66-year-old Patricia Miller also of Cameron was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Temple. She is in stable condition.
DPS continues to investigate the crash.
