Two people were displaced from their home after a garage fire erupted in Temple.
On July 29, at around 9:43 p.m., Temple firefighters responded to a garage fire located in the 1000 Block of South 45th St.
When firefighters arrived and they found a detached garage with heavy fire spreading quickly to the rear of a wood frame house.
The garage, a portable storage building in the back yard along with its contents were destroyed.
The rear of the house and attic received fire damage. The outside of the house next door received heat damage.
The American Red Cross is working to assist the two adults who were displaced.
Dollar loss to the house has not been calculated.
There were no injuries.
The fire was under control at 10:09 p.m. on Saturday night.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
