KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) -

Construction has begun for a popular a popular chicken finger and wings fast-casual restaurant coming to Killeen.

The new Zaxby’s will be located at 2150 S. Clear Creek Road. The restaurant will be celebrating its grand opening by giving away a free item at Zaxby’s each week for a year to the first 100 guests.

The Killeen location is owned by Barrett Fleming and will be the 15th location in Texas.

“Killeen is an ideal market to continue our Texas expansion,” said Fleming. “My family and I believe in the brand — we love the product, the atmosphere, the family friendliness and the company’s values. We feel the Killeen community will embrace Zaxby’s for the same reasons and look forward to being part of the growth of this thriving area.”

The 3,900-square-foot restaurant will have seating for 90 guests and Wi-Fi available.

Zaxby’s offers prepared-to-order chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches, salads, milkshakes and a variety of sides.

The location is looking to hire 40 team members from the Killeen area. Those interested can apply in person at the store on online at snagajob.com
