25-year-old Killeen man dead after car wreck on Tuesday night

A 25-year-old man from Killeen died after a car wreck on I-14 Tuesday night, Harker Heights police said.

Around 8:52 p.m., a silver 2004 GMC Envoy with two 25-year-olds were traveling westbound left of the roadway, onto the grassy median when the car rolled over several times onto the westbound access road coming to a final stop on its wheels in front of a business in the 100 block of W. Central Texas Expressway, police said. 

The car then caught fire and was extinguished when Harker Heights Fire Department arrived.

Arturo Oniel II, the driver, was pronounced dead after he was ejected from the car during the vehicle roll over. The other passenger has been taken to Baylor Scott and White hospital with unknown injuries.

Harker Heights police are still investigating.
