The City of Robinson has selected its next of chief of police.

Chief Phillip Prasifka will replace former Police Chief Rusty Smith who retired in May after almost 11 years of service.

Prasifka has 31 years of experience in public service and served 20 years of them as police chief in several areas.

Prasifka began his career in 1997 as a police chief with the Electra Police Department, transitioning to a police chief position in Glenn Heights where he currently serves.

"The plan is for Chief Prasifka to begin his career with the Robinson Police Department the first week of September," said Craig Lemin, city manager. I am very pleased to have Phillip as our next police chief.
