On Sunday around 3 a.m., a Gateway to Corsicana Mobil/Taco Casa employee stopped a robbery in progress, Corsicana police said.

The store clerk called 911 when the suspect attempted to rob the store. Police said the clerk detained the unarmed suspect with a baseball bat until they arrived. The suspect was then immediately taken into custody.

The clerk said when the suspect attempted to rob the store, he grabbed the bat from under the counter. When the suspect saw the bat, he began to run, but he tripped and fell before fleeing the scene. The clerk then locked the door, detained the suspect and called 911.

The suspect, Ricky Lusk Jr., is being held in the Navarro County jail and was charged with robbery threatening imminent bodily injury and criminal trespass.
