7-year-old girl creates free library to prevent childhood reading loss

Junior Miss Five Hills Leslie Lindholm is creating Leslie’s Little Free Library, a free summer project lending libraries for children in order to promote literacy and prevent summer reading loss.

Lindholm, joined by her sister royalty and the members of Girl Scout Troop #6120, will sand, paint and fill 12 refurbished newspaper vending machines and deliver them to Copperas Cove ISD and Copperas Cove city pools by Wednesday, June 21.
