A murder suspect out of the Austin area was captured in Belton, police say.
Earnest Brassell was taken into custody on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.
Brassell was arrested on the 100 block of W. Avenue H.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, Brassell was wanted for the shooting death of Anthony Brown. The incident happened on Dec. 29 in the Austin area.
Belton SWAT, Harker Heights SWAT, U.S. Marshal's Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, and the Bell County Organized Crime Unit all assisted in the arrest.
