Enhanced police presence expected Monday after threat against Copperas Cove High School

More police presence will be at Copperas Cove High School Monday after a threat. 

According to the school district, the threat was painted on a wall at the car wash located on Casa St. 

The threat read "I'm going to shoot up Copperas Cove High School on 3/20/17." 

The threat is currently under investigation by the Copperas Cove Police Department. 

The school district released a statement: 

Be assured that in partnership with CCPD, CCISD is preparing to take actions to make sure our students and staff remain safe at all campuses on Monday and through the remainder of the school year.
