Strange lights in the Central Texas sky cause a stir

MCLENNAN COUNTY, TX (KXXV) -

Strange lights Thursday night had the News Channel 25 hotline phone ringing and the newsroom email inbox filling up fast. People sent in pictures and videos of glowing orbs in the sky that at times seemed to hover and at other times move about erratically.

The best explanation for the lights came from the Bell County Sheriff's Office. A dispatcher there said that Fort Hood said that it was testing flares.
