Both lanes of I-35 near Bruceville-Eddy open after multi-vehicle wreck

A multi-car crash blocked both northbound lanes of I-35 near Bruceville-Eddy on Wednesday afternoon. The area was cleared around 1:20 p.m.

TxDOT spokesperson Jodi Wheatley said emergency responders were on scene and were waiting for tow trucks to move the vehicles.

Traffic was backed up to Troy, Wheatley said. Some drivers have reported being parked in a jam for over an hour now.

TxDOT recommends an alternate route:

1. Exit 304 to Loop 363
2. Turn left and drive 4.0 miles to SH 36
3. Turn right and drive 3.75 miles to SH 317
4. Turn right and drive 11.0 mile to SH 7/FM 107
5. Turn right and drive 6.75 miles to I-35
6. Turn left and drive to on-ramp.
