H-E-B issued a recall for raw shelled pistachios.
The recall is for both bulk and packaged raw shelled pistachios. According to H-E-B, the product is being recalled because the product could be contaminated with salmonella.
The FDA did a routine sampling and found the issue.
There have been no reports of illness and the products have been removed.
Customers who purchased the product should return it to the store for a full refund.
The recall affects product in prepackaged plastic containers containing raw pistachios that have labels saying "Shelled Pistachios or Central Market Shelled Pistachios," as well as pistachios found in the bulk section with SunRidge Farms labeled "Women's Vitality Mix," "Pistachio Nuts and Dark Chocolate Pistachios."
