A&M student found dead in bedroom

The Brazos County Sheriff’s office said a Texas A&M University Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity member was found dead in his bedroom on Tuesday.

Police found 20-year-old Matthew Hayes non-responsive in his bed after they received the call at 5:45 p.m.

Hayes’ autopsy will be completed by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s office on Dec. 7.

Hayes’ fraternity members said they thought he was asleep. They said the last time they saw him was midnight the evening before after returning from a party.
