A trailer and a train were in an accident near FM 413 and CR 204 in Falls County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, a 2014 F-250 towing a livestock trailer was traveling east on CR 204 toward FM 413 around 12:40 p.m..

DPS said a 25-year-old male driver failed to stop at the marked railroad crossing.

The 70-car Union Pacific train hit the livestock trailer as it crossed the tracks, detaching it from the truck. The livestock trailer had a single horse inside that was killed in the accident, according to DPS.

The driver from Rosebud was not injured but received a citation for failure to stop at a railroad crossing. The train crew was not injured and the train sustained minor damage.
