Highlanders crush CYM Academy

The McLennan Highlanders moved to 7-0 on the season with a 96-51 win over the Creating Young Minds Yellowjackets at the Joe White Classic in Hillsboro.

McLennan led 7-6 with 15:34 remaining in the first half. The Highlanders used a 23-0 run to break the game open and led 45-23 at halftime. The second half was much the same as McLennan cruised to the easy victory. 

Shannon Bogues led the Highlanders with 21 points and Isiah Gurley added 17. Fred Jackson and Derrick Farquharson scored 15 and 12, respectively. Zarious Wilson rounded out the Highlanders in double figures with 10.

The Cru had two First Team selections, three Second Team picks and one Third Team honoree.
