Motorcyclist who died in crash identified

One man is dead after a crash involving a minivan and a motorcycle shut down part of North New Road in Waco. The man has been identified as 42-year-old Walter Sudduth of Waco, TX.

The crash happened across Lowe's Home Improvement on the 200 block of North New Road. 

North New Road was shut down between West Waco Drive and Franklin Avenue.

According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on New Road when the minivan was exiting the Lowes parking lot. 

Police added that several witnesses said that the Sudduth was pulling wheelies prior to the crash.  

The collision caused Sudduth to be thrown from the bike, and he was severely injured. He was transported to Baylor Scott and White/Hillcrest where he was pronounced deceased. 

He was wearing a helmet.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
