The city of Killeen announced their selection for the city manager position on Tuesday, but the candidate announced Thursday he wanted to withdraw from consideration.
In a release from the city, Ronald Olson told the city that he was gracious to be chosen for the position but had decided to withdraw from further consideration of the position.
The city had interviewed three candidates for the position on Oct. 29. The nationwide search had brought 32 applicants.
The Killeen City Council used Strategic Government Resources (SGR) for the search and they will provide information to the council for what to do next.
