A man is in jail after police say he hit an officer in the face.
Waco Police said the incident happened Wednesday morning around 2 a.m. near the intersection of Evans and Armstrong.
Police were responding to a burglar alarm when they found Patrick Bean, 22, walking in the middle of the road.
After running Bean’s ID, police discovered that Bean had warrants out for his arrest, including assault and credit card abuse.
When a police officer tried to arrest Bean, he hit her in the face and ran. Police tased Bean and were able to arrest him.
The officer hit in the face refused medical treatment.
Bean is being held at McLennan County Jail.
