Mosquito tests positive for West Nile Virus in Williamson County

A mosquito has tested positive for West Nile Virus in Bell County.

According to a press release from the Bell County Public Health District, lab results from the Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed that the sample collected in Williamson County was positive for West Nile Virus.

The health district, the City of Bartlett, and Williamson County are conducting additional mosquito surveillance in the area.
