The Bell County Health District, the State Health Department and Killeen ISD are working to ensure that parents and staff Tuberculosis questions are addressed.

The health district has performed a thorough risk analysis of the possible Tuberculosis exposure last week at Killeen ISD.

They reassured the community that the amount of exposure was very low, and the risk of TB exposure was almost none for those involved.

For those who have been contacted about a risk possibility, the possibility is still very low, and they said it is not an emergent situation.

For those with medical coverage, please make an appointment with your provider and take the letter with you.

For those who do not have insurance, please call the Health District Clinic in Temple at 254-778-4766 to schedule an appointment to be tested.

The Health District has Tuberculosis nurses available to answer questions, please call the Temple Clinic at 254-778-4766, Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Friday 7-11 a.m.
