One of McLennan County's first same-sex weddings took place Monday afternoon at the Waco Suspension Bridge.
April Hector and Adriana Uren, now Mrs. and Mrs. Hector, have been dating since April of 2008. They got their marriage license at the McLennan County clerk's office Friday afternoon after the United States Supreme Court legalized same-sex unions.
The couple hadn't planned on having a wedding so soon, but a local LGBT Community group helped make it happen, InterWaco member Jeremy Mercer officiated the ceremony in front of a small crowd of the brides' family and friends.
