UPDATE: Police have caught the suspects they believe robbed three convenience stores at gunpoint Monday morning in the Waco area.

Talbot R. Branson, Marisa A. Dunn, and Devyn Vasquez all face a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon out of Lacy Lakeview. The three suspects have now been formally charged with the two Waco robberies. In addition, Branson has been filed on by Robinson PD for unlawfully carrying a weapon.

A Robinson PD officer spotted a white Suburban about 11:30 a.m. that appeared to have been in a crash. The officer stopped the vehicle on Highway 77, near the Cowboy Church, to make sure those inside were okay.

The officer found three teens, two males and one female, all around the age of 17, in the vehicle. After making the stop, the officer saw a large amount of cigarettes, cash, and a handgun inside the vehicle.

A dispatcher is credited with making the connection between the vehicle and media reports about the white Suburban being involved in three robberies. The people inside also matched the description of the suspected robbers.

They contacted Waco PD and Lacy Lakeview PD, who both responded. The three inside the vehicle, were taken into custody by Waco PD.

Police in Lacy Lakeview and Waco are investigating three early morning convenience store robberies Monday. The descriptions of the robbery suspects match up, so police say there is a strong possibility all three robberies are connected.

At about 6 a.m., police report a convenience store robbery in the 700 block of S. New Dallas Highway as the store was opening. Witnesses told police there were two men, whose faces were covered.

One of the robbers displayed a handgun, before jumping the counter and taking cash from the register. Police were told the two then fled in a light colored vehicle. One of the robbers was reportedly not wearing shoes.

About an hour later, the Cefco in the 2900 block of Gholson Rd., which is only about a quarter mile away from the first robbery, was robbed by two men who reportedly left in a white Suburban following the robbery.

The third robbery was reported about 8 a.m. at a convenience store in the 1900 block of Park Lake Dr. The store was robbed by two men, one with a handgun. Police say the description of the suspects at all three of the robberies match up.

Police are still investigating.
