West firefighter and fertilizer plant worker laid to rest

WEST, TX (KXXV) -

Former West firefighter and fertilizer plant worker Cody Dragoo was laid to rest Wednesday morning. Friends and family gathered at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption to celebrate the life of the 50-year-old firefighter.

Dragoo was born in Billings, Montana, and graduated from Montana State University with a degree in agriculture. According to his obituary, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, watching NASCAR and being with family.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2305. He was also president of the Cottonwood Water Supply Corp.

Dragoo is survived by his wife, Patty and two sisters.
