A man was arrested this week on arson charges after police say he lit a fire in a Walmart restroom in 2018.
According to the arrest affidavit, the fire was discovered inside a restroom at a Walmart in Killeen on Feb. 5, 2018, and paper on the floor of the restroom was found burned.
Police said video surveillance showed Kristopher Joseph Gilley, who was 22 years old at the time, enter the restroom and leave just before the fire was discovered.
Gilley admitted to starting the fire to a Killeen fire marshal, the arrest affidavit says.
A warrant for his arrest was issued on Feb. 14, 2018.
Gilley was arrested for theft of property between $100 and $750, criminal trespass and arson on Jan. 15, 2019. He was brought to the Bell County Jail on a $54,000 bond.
