Emergency responders rescued a man trapped in his vehicle that was stuck in high water.
Thomas Pechal with Temple Fire & Rescue said the person was stuck in the 14500 block of Old Troy Road. They responded at the request of the Troy Fire Department.
They said an elderly man was attempting to cross a low water crossing when his truck was swept downstream. The driver was in his vehicle which was about 6-feet from the bank.
Swiftwater technicians with the department placed a personal floatation device on him and removed him from the truck.
Crews positioned a ladder between the bank and the truck to create a path from his truck. He was conscious and speaking with EMS.
