Texas A&M will close its campus on Dec. 6 for former president George H.W. Bush's funeral.

The university announced Sunday that the Bryan-College Station campuses would close on Dec. 6. Bush will be laid to rest at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library located on campus.

Bush's casket will be brought to College Station from Houston by train on Dec. 6.

The entire campus, including libraries, will be closed on Thursday, except for dining services.

The university also said that the Allen Building at A&M would be closed to faculty, staff and students from Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. through Thursday, Dec. 6. Classes in this building will be relocated.

According to the AggieNetwork, the train will unload at the railroad crossing at Wellborn Road and George Bush Drive. The funeral procession will travel on George Bush Drive toward the Bush Library Complex.

The burial ceremony will not be open to the public.

Instead of flowers, the Bush family requests that donations be made to the Bush School of Government and Public Service.
