College Station police are looking for a suspect who struck a man with a car on Thursday.

According to College Station police, at approximately 9:57 a.m. officers responded to the Goodwill Store at 2704 Texas Avenue for a reported motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

When officers arrived at the business, witnesses told them that a gold Honda struck a man in the parking lot and fled the scene. Officers did not find the vehicle in the area.

After an investigation, officers revealed that the injured man was an employee of the Goodwill store. He was alerted of a theft and followed the suspect into the parking lot to retrieve the items.

The suspect ignored the employee’s demands to stop and got into the gold Honda. The man attempted to write down the license plate number but the suspect reversed into him, causing pain in his leg.

He was able to stay on his feet, but the suspect hit the man again and he fell to the ground. The suspect then fled the scene, according to College Station police.

The College Station Fire Department transported the man to a local hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation.
