Officials release identity of man whose body was recovered from Stillhouse Hollow Lake

BELL COUNTY, TX (KXXV) -

The Bell County Sheriff's Department has identified the man whose body was found on Tuesday morning after he went missing on Sunday afternoon.

The man has been identified as 42-year-old Rohel Ramirez Gonzalez.

According to the Texas Game Wardens, four people were on Stillhouse Hollow Lake Sunday around noon when they were separated from their boat.

One swimmer, Gonzalez, went under and did not surface.  The other three people eventually made it back to land safely and alerted authorities.

The Texas Game Wardens spent parts of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday searching for Gonzalez.

The Bell County Sheriff’s Department, Army Corps of Engineers, Harker Heights Fire Department, Central Bell County Fire & Rescue and Morgan’s Point Resort dive team all assisted in the search.
