The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department found several Alligator Gar at the river on Wednesday.
According to the TPWD, there are Alligator Gar studies underway at numerous sites. At the lower Brazos, they were able to catch, measure and tag Alligator Gar.
All the fish were caught, measured, tagged, DNA samples were taken and promptly released.
