The Waco Police Department responded to a shoplifting call at a Dollar General on Monday. They have arrested Javon Arnett and Olivia Ratliff in connection to the incident. Police are still looking for one suspect.

Arnett was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Ratliff is charged with aggravated robbery, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and evading arrest.

According to Waco police, the incident happened just after 2 p.m. at the North 18th Street and Lasalle Avenue location. When officers arrived, the suspect was in his car with two other individuals, a man and a woman.

An officer attempted to approach the vehicle and the suspect tried to flee by backing into a Waco police squad.

The suspect accused of shoplifting attempted to pull a handgun from his waistband. The officer and suspect got into a scuffle when the two individuals in the car took off running, according to Waco police.

The driver was apprehended, and the female passenger was found hiding in the woods 30 minutes later. The male passenger is still at large, but Waco police said they know who he is.

When officers searched the car, they found a large amount of marijuana, cash and an AK-47 with a large drum round magazine.

This is an ongoing investigation.
