The man who escaped Groesbeck police custody Monday morning has been captured by the Temple police after a vehicle chase Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Groesbeck police, he was taken into custody and the reported stolen vehicle has been recovered.

Police said they saw Tristan Neason walking in the 200 block of W. Yeagua Street while on patrol. The two officers knew Neason had two outstanding arrest warrants so they attempted to make contact with him, but he began to run away from them.

On Monday, the officers were able to chase him down, overtake him and place him into custody. Officers put him in the back seat of the patrol car, but Neason was able to free himself and run away.
