Killeen ISD elementary assistant principal passes away

KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) -

The Killeen ISD Superintendent, John Craft released a statement saying an elementary assistant principal at Iduma Elementary School passed away. 

In the release, the superintendent expresses condolences to the family of Gale Jones. 

Superintendent Craft released the following: 

 Gale Jones was a tremendous leader who loved serving her students and staff. Our Crisis Counseling Team has been initiated as of this morning and will be available throughout the week to assist students, parents and staff. The parents and staff have been notified and students will be informed this afternoon. This is a very difficult time for Iduma Elementary School and the school district. Our thoughts and prayers remain with those impacted.
