A Midway High School sophomore will be competing at the International Science Fair later this month.
Remi Labeille won first place in the molecular and cellular biology at the State Science Fair in San Antonio in late March.
Labeille project is "genetic engineering of yeast to produce lipid-based biofuel for the future: E.P.Y."
Labeille will compete next at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Pittsburg on May 13-18.
Labeille is the second student from Midway to compete at the international science fair level.
