The Belton Police Department said they are investigating after a fisherman found a woman's body near Belton Dam Saturday evening.

Police said they received a call about the incident around 6 p.m.  The Belton Fire Department pulled a woman identified as 48-year-old Lisa Diserens from the water and performed CPR.

Police said Diserens was alone at the time of the accident and said her death may have been accidental.

She was transported to Baylor Scott & White in Temple, where she later died.

An autopsy has been ordered. Police are ruling her death as an unattended death.

Police said Diserens was a former Temple ISD administrator.

Diserens served as the Director of Accountability and Assessment at Temple ISD for 22 years before leaving the position in Sept. 2017.
