Red Lobster shooting suspect arrested on murder charges

Waco police said the Red Lobster shooting suspect has been arrested on murder charges by the U.S. Marshal Task Force.

The suspect, who has been identified as 25-year-old Kenneth James Smith, was arrested in Bosqueville on Tuesday morning. Eight McLennan County Sheriff's Office deputies assisted in the arrest. 

Waco Police said the victim in the shooting that happened near Red Lobster died from a gunshot wound to the head on Tuesday afternoon. 

Officers identified the murder victim as Justin Wayne Bible, 32, of Waco. 

Police said the suspect fled the scene in a white truck. The man got into the passenger side and other person drove the truck away from the scene. 

Police believe the incident started as a wreck around 11:15 a.m., but when they arrived witnesses told them there was a shooting.

A woman on scene claims her husband had been shot. The identity of the man or family members have not been released.
