The Midway High School soccer booster club held a car wash and bake sale in the parking lot of Midway Middle School on Saturday afternoon, to raise funds for the daughters of Patrick Posey, who died recently from brain cancer.

The goal of the fundraiser was to help them with their education expenses for college.

Posey is the former soccer head coach at Midway High School, who recently died from grade IV Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Posey left behind his wife Susan Posey and three young daughters.

"It's a hard disease to deal with at any age but when you're 52 and you have young daughters it's even harder, and anything that we can do to help we want to do," said Michelle Shero, with the Midway Booster Club.

If you would like to help support the Posey family, on May 7 Marco's Pizza in Hewitt will host Patrick Posey day to help raise more funds.
