The 25th-ranked Bears wrapped up the regular season with a 4-0 loss to fifth-ranked Texas on Friday night. Baylor, which compiled a 16-12 record overall and a 4-5 mark in Big 12 play, turns its attention to the postseason.

The Longhorns claimed the doubles point with wins on courts one and three to take the lead and never looked back, maintaining the momentum through singles play. Texas won, 6-3, 6-1, on court six, 6-1, 6-3, on court three and, 6-2, 6-2, on court one.

Freshman Livia Kraus highlighted the match for the Bears, besting her opponent Marta Perez-Mur, 6-3, in the opening set. She was up in the second, 4-2, before the team result caused it to go unfinished.

The Longhorns claimed the outright Big 12 regular season title with the win over the Bears, finishing with a 9-0 mark and an 11-0 record at Texas Tennis Center.
