The Harker Heights police department is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit and run on Sunday night.
The driver involved has been located on Tuesday morning. Police are evaluating potential charges at this time.
Police said 46-year-old Mario M. Tobar, from Harker Heights, was walking across S. Amy Lane at the Dale Earnhardt Drive intersection when he was hit by a vehicle driving southbound.
The vehicle, described as a silver/gray Honda Element SUV did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
Tobar was pronounced dead from his injuries at Seton Medical Center at 7:44 p.m.
Harker Heights police are asking anyone with information on this hit and run to call them at 254-953-5400.
